Our Story

The Beginning

National Parts started in 1977 supplying auto parts and auto supplies to a variety of customers. Over the years, our love for the Caribbean and the Caribbean people grew. We increased our delivery to the islands while at the same time continued to develop relationships with some of the largest auto parts distributors in the country.

Our Island Success

In 1995, we decided to dedicate our auto business to the Caribbean exclusively. We began establishing the St. Thomas and St. Croix businesses (both called National Parts) along with our large shipping warehouse in Atlanta, located conveniently next to one of the largest non coastal shipping centers in the world, the Atlanta International Airport. Our loyalty among our USVI customers grew quickly including Cruzan Rum, Limetree Bay, and St Thomas government.

We soon established ourselves in the community as an exclusive USVI, store-delivery service of auto, truck, marine and heavy equipment parts. Our competitive pricing and unparalleled shipping cost and service brought us more and more customers.

Over the years, our customer base began contacting us from other islands. We knew with our same service and hard work, we could deliver to all of the Caribbean as well.

Our Online Presence

In 2016, we began building our intricate, supply based, online warehouse (deciding on the name Island Parts to represent the online division of our company and to establish an all-island presence) and forming relationships with shipping partners and securing methods to deliver all across the Caribbean.

Our goal was finally accomplished in early 2017 with the live website ISLANDPARTS.COM and our establishment as a Caribbean Island Auto Parts Mega Online Warehouse and Delivery Service.

Our Relief and Recovery Addition

In September of 2017, as a result of the devastation of our beloved Caribbean and home, we knew once again, with hard work and service, we could help our islands. By providing relief and recovery supplies as a direct result of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, we are honored to help our island customers with the same practical, 'island strong' work ethic that symbolizes who we all are.

Along with auto supplies, we are now offering rebuilding supplies with island delivery as a part of our company's catalog. While we do not know how long this recovery will last, you have our word at ISLAND PARTS and NATIONAL PARTS, our relief and recovery supplies are here for you as long as you need.

Our Customer Service

Our customer service goal is simple: get our customers back into their vehicles as quickly as possible with the right part, the right price, and delivered to the right place.

With over 125 years of auto parts experience both in stores and online, we can find the part, find an answer, and find a way to get it to you quickly and affordably.

Through our partnership with DHL, we offer the lowest overnight rates to the entire Eastern and Western Caribbean, including Latin America and South America.

In fact, we can often provide 1-2 day service for the price that others charge for 5-7 service.

Our Caribbean Support

We support many local businesses and charities in the Caribbean and believe in providing opportunities for residents of the communities we service.

We have been involved in the U.S. Virgin Islands Economic Authority Board (service as Vice Chairman), the Beacon School Board of the V.I., Vice Chairman of the Automotive Association, National Jobber Council for Parts Plus, Board of Trustees for the Insurance Trust, and Sponsor of the Governor's Virgin Islands Youth Games.

Our Hurricane Recovery Support

We have helped solicit funds for the established a transportation chain to get supplies to St.Thomas and St.John from St.Croix.

This NonProfit Account includes the help of Caribbean Sea Adventures, QE4, Big Beards, the Water Spirit, and all of the Crucian Navy as they transporting supplies and recovery relief aid to the Virgin Islands.

The fund also helps those evacuees looking for homes and provides shelter and home stays through an extensive volunteer network.

100% of this fund goes directly to relief efforts for hurricane recovery.

As of September 26th, $241,468.00 has been raised! Please consider donating here and following along with our efforts to support our islands here on our new 'Best Parts of the Island' blog page located here.
